Ingredients - Serves

  • 1 c
    oil (extra virgin, avocado or other)
  • 1
    egg, room temperature
  • 1 tbs
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    dried mustard or Dijon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

Step by Step

  1. Mayo Ingredients In a wide mouth jar, add ingredients one by one.

  2. Mayo RestingAllow ingredients to settle for 30-60 seconds

  3. Eggs Oil MayoPlace the immersion blender all the way to the bottom of the jar and turn on low.

     

     

    Mayo Blending 2Don’t move it until the mayo starts to emulsify. This only takes a few seconds.

  4. Mayo MixingAfter ingredients begin to emulsify, move the immersion blender around to incorporate all of the ingredients.

  5. Homemade Mayo RRContinue until all ingredients are incorporated, and the consistency looks right.

Notes:

THIS RECIPE CONTAINS RAW EGG. 

You can substiture egg beaters or another pasturized raw egg option, using their measurements for a signle egg.

If you woudl like flavored mayo add garlic or chili powder for some kick!
